Agriculture is a sector that has one of the largest negative impacts on the natural environment. Today, we are faced with the necessity to use every opportunity to improve its condition, such as by reducing the use of pesticides. In 2018, pesticide use in agriculture and horticulture in Poland reached the level of 60 thousand tons. It is time for change.

Fungi attacking crops, vegetables and fruits can be effectively limited by ecological means, e.g., using a whole range of Microbiotix preparations. Beneficial microorganisms and absorbable, organic calcium enhance the natural resistance of plants.

Inoculating the soil with properly selected microorganisms in the autumn allows for the rapid decomposition of crop residues, thereby depriving food pathogens and interrupting their developmental cycle. The pressure of diseases in the next season can decrease by up to 60%. It is worthwhile mineralising organic matter in every cultivation system, both in ploughing and no-till farming.

Regular soil treatments on crop residues increase the level of humus, thereby restoring fertility. A 0.5% increase in humus enhances soil water retention by 100%! The physical properties of the soil significantly improve, providing better conditions for the growth and development of plants.

Another positive effect is the mineralisation of nitrogen from crop residues and its inclusion in the nitrogen balance. This allows us to reduce the doses of this macroelement by 20–30 kg in a pure form. This results in savings of about 10–15% in fertilisation costs!

The Microbiotix Prevent and Microbiotix Ca Organic preparations, used in cereals and maize, limit Fusarium graminearum, a dangerous pathogen that contaminates grains with mycotoxins, extremely hazardous substances. The complex biological process, based on the principle of nutritional competition, eliminates the need for plant protection measures. The mentioned preparations have an effectiveness comparable to the use of harsh chemicals.

Microbiotix Complex can be used for sanitising livestock buildings, reducing gas levels, such as ammonia, hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide. Microbiotix Pre+Probiotic, when used in animal nutrition, improves digestibility, health, reduces FCR and limits the use of antibiotics. This is thanks to a different set of bacteria, yeast and fermented herbal extracts.

Microbiotix bacterial concentrates are produced in advanced bioreactors at the Sansevera biotechnology company and by researchers from the Biotechnology Department of the Silesian University of Technology. The production is under full control of line purity, hygiene, temperature, fermentation direction and pH. In the next stage, Microbiotix multiplies microorganisms in modern, compact biofermenters that automatically control the bacterial multiplication process.
